Cameron Knauf is incredibly grateful to be a 2023 Kimberly A. Nelson Foundation Scholarship recipient and is appreciative of the foundation's mission of supporting the arts at BRHS. Cameron has been
... involved in the BRHS choir program for three years, starting in Glee Club as a freshman, continuing as a member of the Ensembros as a junior, and finishing his senior year as a member of the Symphonic Choir as Tenor Section Leader. He is happy to have found a welcoming community that shares his passion for singing. He would like to thank Dr. Wilson for many incredible memories and for helping him develop as a musician.
Cameron has also been an active member of the BRHS Theatre Arts Department for all four years at BRHS. Some of his favorite productions include Chicago, Is There Life After High School?, and Anything Goes. He joined the Thespian Honor Society in September 2021 and served as the troupe's treasurer during his senior year. He also attended Somerset County Vo-Tech's Honors Theatre Arts Program as an acting student. He would like to thank Mr. and Mrs. Gunning for their everlasting support and wisdom throughout his time in high school.
Outside of choir and theatre, you can find Cameron devoting his time to community service. Cameron has been an active Boy Scout throughout his time at BRHS and most recently completed his Eagle Scout Service Project, which involved creating a collection of planter boxes for Lincoln Elementary School in Edison, NJ. He is also a volunteer at the Bridgewater Library, frequently shelving books and assisting the librarians at children’s events. He has been involved in many volunteer activities through his participation in National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, and Spanish National Honor Society as well. He plans to continue participating in volunteer activities in the future and influencing others to participate in the arts and to take care of our planet.
Cameron will continue his growth in the arts while pursuing a BA in Theatre (Emphasis in Acting) at the University of Southern California’s School of Dramatic Arts. He is beyond thankful to the Kimberly A. Nelson Foundation for supporting his education, and he is honored to continue upholding Kim’s legacy.
